Nissin Di622 Mark II flash for Canon and Nikon
Nissin has announced an upgrade model of Nissin di622, their brand new Nissin Di622 Mark II. Just about time. I am looking for a new flash gun for my DSLR. I am using Canon Rabel T1i and my dedicated flash have given up on me. So I was scouring the internet for a new flash when I discovered the NIssin di622 mark II. After reading the specification I order instantly.
New Features
The new wireless mode
The previous model, Di622 did not have built in wireless flash. This new feature is most welcome for an affordable price. If you have Canon EOS 60d or Canos EOS 7d, you straight away fire the flash by wireless method using the DSLR built in wireless system. Here are the three wireless mode for Nissin Di622 Mark II flash gun:
- SD: Slave Digital (with 6 level)
- SF: Slave Film (with 6 level)
- Wireless TTL remote Channel 1 Group A (Controlled by master flash)
The X-contact and External Synchro Contact
Some cameras provide a flash synchronization contact at X-terminal instead of hotshoe. Di622 Mark II can be used without hotshoe cameras. For this type of cameras, Di622 Mark II has a X-terminal socket for flash synchronization.
